The first phase of our work on the Citadel and the Low Fortress of the Fort of Bender in Moldova ended yesterday, with the presentation of the results obtained during the diagnostic campaign.
On the occasion of the presentation, held in Bender / Tighina, the archaeological finds found during the excavations carried out in the past months have been deposited at the Museum of the fortress.
The project is implemented as part of the EU confidence-building measures program implemented by the UNDP; this program helps to strengthen the trust of the inhabitants of both sides of the Nistru / Dnestr river by involving them in common projects.
