Mosque restoration project
In order to restore the original soul and the historical importance of the building, we aimed to design all the parts of the project with great attention to respect its historical age and value, style, purpose of use: therefore, we went back in time to it is early stage when it was built and started from there. The project found and renews some elements that has been lost during the history of the mosque, basing the modifies on a careful work into archives and collecting historical data and images. It gives us the information not for a reconstruction project, that brings the building to an hypothetical ideal situation, but a restoration of a most coherent aspect due to the removal of clearly inadequate elements.
