Restoration and functional recovery
The operations on the theater are developed between needs of conservation and needs of technological, performance and functional improvement. The restoration project preserved the original style by enhancing some elements such as the main foyer and minimizing the demolitions. At the same time, the team proposed the renovation of the plant and a makeover of the hall to improve acoustic and aesthetic performance, while respecting the history and the context in which the theater stands. The theater hall looks like a big wooden harmonic case that is made of wood-paneled acoustic panels and ceiling of reinforced plasterboards conforming to the VVF regulations and assuming a curved shape to meet acoustic requirements.
