Chiostro dei Secolari a S.Benedetto Po

The Clunian Monastery of San Benedetto Po was subject of a total restoration and plant adaptation between 2006 and 2012, carried out in several lots, some of which are being completed at the time of the earthquake in 2012. Further the complex has shown considerable damage to the wall structures and the decorative apparatus that required consolidation and restoration work in the Cloister of San Simeone, the Library and Barberini Stairs. Today, the focus is on the buildings facing Secolari Cloister; the project is developing starting from a careful mapping of the cracking framework and a vast diagnostic campaign to better assess the material consistency of existing structures. The work is concerned with structural works, in particular attic and roofing, consolidation with mortar injections, stitching and redundancy, as well as the preparation of plant works.
