Restoration

Villa Vergine is an important building with a first nucleus dating back to the 17th century and three latest wings around a large courtyard. The restoration work, which did not concern the stately home of the north body but only the east and south wings, consisted in the functional recovery of the accessory rooms (warehouses and stables) that through the principle of "Minimum intervention" would allow the insertion of a new compatible use as the residential one, while at the same time guaranteeing the original space and architectural perception of the environments. In fact, four real estate units were articulated on two levels with a living area on the ground floor and a sleeping area on the first floor. The interventions have ensured compatibility with existing materials and consequently homogeneous behavior over time, respecting the architectural and structural typology of the body itself.
