Ex Casinò del Lido di Venezia

The old Casinò del Lido in Venice, once the summer home of the Municipal Casinò, is an impressive building of the Ventennium designed by the eng. Eugenio Miozzi placed in an urban complex with the Palace of Cinema and the outdoor cinema. The building was designed to become the "Most Beautiful Casinò in Europe". The ongoing project addresses the normative aspects (fire prevention), plant engineering, structural, architectural and restoration of internal surfaces. Among the solutions envisaged there are: creation of new outdoor fireplaces, consolidation of some interior floors, realization of new cinemas and congresses places, recovery of marble and interior decorations in order to enhance the historical and artistic importance of the building. The intervention (extremely complex in the search for solutions that align the normative, performance, conservation and enhancement needs of the spaces) is aimed at implementing and enhancing the available spaces for congresses and performances throughout the year, as well as providing spaces and cinemas (temporary and fixed) at the Venice Biennale Foundation for the International Film Festival.
