The work concerns the observation and characterization of ocraceous films found on some monuments in Rome, carried out by the "Cenacolo" laboratory. The contribution is based on the diagnostic investigations carried out on existing films on the travertine of the facade of S. Maria in Vallicella, on the plaster of Palazzo Senatorio, on the travertine of Michelangelo's staircase in Piazza del Campidoglio and finally on the marble portals of Palazzo Venezia. The results show different types of films mainly related to artificial treatments made on the materials.
