Ponte di Rialto a Venezia

This restoration combines the two thematic roots of material and structural conservation. The preservation of materials and of what remains of historical treatments develops through the removal of accumulation of harmful elements, the arrest of deterioration processes and the prevention of new forms of decay. Thanks to good results in assessing the static safety of the bridge, intervention on the structures was limited to a minimal static reinforcement that consisted of inserting a chain into the tax bills. Because of the complexity of the bridge, it was possible to draw up the executive project during the works. Eng. Nicola Berlucchi was commissioned for technical-administrative and static testing and was involved in verifying the good execution of all structural and restoration works.
