Interior design and project proposal of the Calligraphy Museum

Project proposal for the museum exhibition, developed in collaboration with the A & R Progetti studio and the Interior Designer / Architect Tuana Akad.

The interior design includes the construction of exhibition panels, glass cases and chairs to admire the magnificent rooms of the museum. The layout of the furniture has been designed to be better integrated with the geometry of the walls and to accommodate a large number of manuscripts and canvases. The domes in the rooms are illuminated by modern suspensions, designed ad hoc on the example of traditional Turkish chandeliers. Hanging from the string chains in the corridors, a series of spotlights illuminate the numerous works of Turkish calligraphy. The lightness of the glass, the sinuosity of the bronzed benches and the magnificence of the oil green velvet coverings come together to pay homage to one of the most beautiful madrasas in Istanbul.
