Home in via A.Gallo in Brescia

The object of intervention is a home located in the historical center of Brescia, an expression of a minor type of construction which has been abandoned for over 30 years. It is made up of two floors above ground and a basement and characterized by the presence of an internal courtyard framed by a beautiful open gallery; the property was in a state of poor conservation, even in important structural elements, such as roof warping, internal staircases and stairs. The project envisaged the renovation for single-family use, minimizing demolition and maintaining the construction typology and the original division of the spaces, in order to restore everything that was valuable to enhance the home. Finally, the finishes were made with traditional materials and techniques, recovering where possible the existing ones, such as terracotta floors.
