Conservation analisys and technical expertise, endoscopic campaign, feasibility study for a temporary roof

The Ulo Camii Mosque in Divrigi, Turkey, has been the subject of a careful survey of the state of preservation of the walls and a widespread campaign of endoscopic investigations on the structures, with the aim of identifying the material composition and any forms of degradation in place, including voids and important cavities especially in the lower portion of the main facade. Having found these problems, it was considered appropriate to also perform the georadar on the entire facade, to verify the actual consistency of the voids and the relationship that may exist between these and the works of replacing old deteriorated stone blocks with new elements often smaller size inserted with the use of low quality mortars and poor strength in the weather. The feasibility project for the installation of a large temporary roof has also been developed in order to remove the sheet currently present on the building and carry out a conservation intervention.
