The news of the awarding of the project and the supervision of works for the functional recovery of the Teatro della Società di Lecco at the RTP led by Studio Berlucchi with Arch. Andrea Donadello - Iconia Ingegneria Civile - STI Technical Study of Plants is of these days.
The intervention, estimated at just under one million euros, is aimed at the resolution of some structural vulnerabilities and the recovery of the building.
Some historical notes:
"The Society Theater is the oldest and most important of the theaters of Lecco. It has a necolassic façade. Currently the theater is the result of a series of enlargement, restructuring and restoration interventions among which the addition of the wing are to be reported. left side in Umbertino style (made in 1884 to a design by the engineer Riccardo Badoni with variations made by the engineer Attilio Bolla). Internally the stuccos and the boxes were made by the sculptor Giacomo Mattarelli, who was declared unsafe in 1951 and risked being avoided thanks to a committee of citizens who claimed the restoration in the sixties during which the veranda of the cafe and the apse were eliminated.The restoration project completed in 1969, executed by the architect Gianni Rigoli, was followed in 1979 by the creation of the fresco by the Marche painter Orlando Sora portraying the Age of Life which covers the vault of the hall. 86-87 the municipal administration, which took complete control of it through the offices of the sector of cultural policies, commissioned works of technological adaptation and extraordinary maintenance repeated in 1994-95.
